How Dancity Radar works
Dancity Radar is the music scouting platform of the Dancity community. Here you can report new talents, discover music selected by the community, and contribute to music research.
How to submit a report
Submit 2.0 flow: link-first with smart autofill
- Paste a link (Spotify, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, YouTube, Tidal, Mixcloud...)
- The system automatically detects artist, title, cover, year and type (TRACK / EP / ALBUM / DJ SET / LIVE)
- Review the data and correct if needed
- Choose main genre and optional subgenres
- Explain why you're sharing it: what struck you?
- Submit - the commission will evaluate your proposal
Autofill and enrichment
- The link is analyzed to extract metadata automatically
- Spotify and Discogs add extra information (label, catalog, ISRC)
- The system suggests the correct type: TRACK, EP, ALBUM, DJ SET or LIVE
- You can always edit suggested data before submitting
- Technical data is preserved to prevent future duplicates
The review process
- Each report is reviewed by the Artistic Commission
- Commission members vote to approve or reject
- If approved, the report is published in Explore
- You will receive an email notification about your report status
Badge system
- Scout (0-2 publications): Your first step
- Selector (3-7 publications): You're gaining credibility
- Curator (8-15 publications): You're a reference
- A&R Dancity (16-30 publications): Recognized talent
- Talent Hunter (31+ publications): Elite scout
Voting on reports
- In Explore you can vote on published reports
- Vote from 1 to 3 stars
- You can change or remove your vote at any time
- Votes help highlight the best discoveries
Your COLLECTION
- Save reports you like to your COLLECTION
- Access your COLLECTION from the main menu
- You can make your COLLECTION public in your profile
- Share your selection with other users
Managing your reports
- In the Dashboard you can see all your reports
- You can edit a report while it's pending review
- You can withdraw a report before it's approved
- Withdrawn or new reports can be deleted
Featured reports
- The best reports are featured by the editorial team
- WEEKLY PICK: The pick of the week
- DANCITY CHOICE: Special editorial selection
- HIDDEN GEM: Discoveries with great votes but little visibility
VAULT - The exclusive archive
- The VAULT contains exclusive recordings not available elsewhere
- To access you must be an active user with at least 3 published reports
- VAULT recordings can only be played on the platform
- Content is added periodically
