The live show in question represents the scene accompanying Foligno at that time. A festival loaded with the likes of Jeff Mills, Lory D, Roy Ayers, Underground Resistance. The sounds that make up the performance, punctuate refined sounds that come from research and quality, what Dancity Festival has always offered.
DJ set recorded by Claudio Coccoluto and sent to Dancity for "God Save The New Year," broadcast on New Year's Eve 2021 during Covid restrictions. Music, visuals and on-camera presence seem to leave a message, almost a greeting. The ending quotes Jodorowsky's "The Holy Mountain" ("break the illusion...real life awaits us"): a tribute to his memory.
I have always loved dancing, ever since I was a little girl. Growing up in the Bronx I was always involved in dance: step team, Boys and Girls Club events, and I was also a choreographer. High school for me was a safe space: as a gay boy, very feminine, I could really be myself. Then New York nightlife became my real introduction to techno and queer culture: I would dance for hours. I always had a "ringleader" energy, the kind that drags others along. And my path took me from Psychology to Creative Writing, with a minor in Gender Studies.

After years of practice in the field, giesse concentrates essential writing here: two tracks as two pressure-controlled rooms. Attention to timbral detail-which in other projects might have opened to suspension-is bent to a different function: rhythm as architecture, bass as physical volume, repetition as state. HC / Evering Dub does not "tell" a mood: it builds a sonic device that works on the body and the threshold of listening. No decoration, only tension.
